The Cat Rescuers

Tuesday, August 27th, at 7:15pm
A benefit for the Norfolk SPCA

With over 500,000 streets cats struggling to survive in New York City, and city government unwilling to address the problem, spirited volunteers trap the cats, get them fixed, and if they can’t be socialized for adoption, return them to their colonies (called TNR). This program is ongoing right here in Hampton Roads, where caretakers of outdoor cat colonies work with area animal shelters to save many lives. (87 mins)

Post-film discussion: Kimberly Sherlaw is executive director of Norfolk SPCA. And Hampton Roads community cat caretakers.
