In the summer of ’62 in California, this beloved coming-of-age story begins when the shy Scottie Smalls moves to a new neighborhood and is initially rejected by the local boys because he doesn’t know how to play baseball. Soon, he learns the sport and joins the group, who play ball in a local sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. (1993, PG, 101mins)
