High Life

Monte (Robert Pattinson) and his baby daughter are the last survivors of a damned and dangerous mission to deep space. The crew—death-row inmates led by a doctor (Juliette Binoche) with sinister motives—has vanished. As the mystery of what happened onboard the ship is unraveled, father and daughter must rely on each other to survive as they hurtle toward the oblivion of a black hole. From acclaimed filmmaker Claire Denis. (110 mins)

“High Life is, at turns, gorgeous, ridiculous, and confounding. Yet, the more you wrestle with it, the more it haunts you. As for Pattinson, who commits as fully as ever, he can rest easy knowing that he’s left his audience another riddle to chew on.” – Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly

“High Life offers an uncompromising mind-bender of a deep space journey through destructive desire, faith, trust and the instincts for good and bad that make us merely human.” – Allan Hunter, Screen International

“For all its body horrors and apocalyptic conclusions, High Life is one of Denis’s most loving and tender creations.” – David Sims, The Atlantic
